The event was co-organised by East Africa Education Foundation (EAEF), Tanzania UK Healthcare Diaspora (TUHEDA) and New Age Tuition (NAT). The overall aim was of the event to mark the British Science Week. On the day three areas were covered
a) Raising Awareness on Diabetes and High Blood Pressure: Presentation by Dr Mlawa followed by free health checks (Diabetes and Blood Sugar level)
b) COVID-19: Presentation by Dr M Salim on transmission and prevention of COVID-19.
c) Competition on science Projects by children aged 6-16 years with the theme of “The importance of science in day to day life “ This gave a platform for the children to show case their science projects.
To empower people to make informed choices and live independent lives.
